Your Benefits
- Large segments of the Strategic Research Agenda which cannot be properly supported by conventional instruments are expected to be implemented through the Joint Technology Initiative; AENEAS is the meeting place where key industrial players and other R&D actors identify major R&D projects that they want to pursue together, form project consortia and initiate proposals for submission to the Joint Undertaking calls for Proposals.
- AENEAS membership is multidisciplinary, providing an excellent network for the exchange of technology ideas, cross-fertilization as well as for radical innovation initiatives
- The activities of ENIAC, the European Technology Platform on Nanoelectronics, will also be carried out by AENEAS: AENEAS will elaborate and maintain most of the parts of the Strategic Research Agenda, which outlines the key objectives and the measures to be taken for the development and target-setting of Nanoelectronics in Europe.
- AENEAS will take an active role in Europe to define and implement actions to increase visibility and awareness in Nanoelectronics and stimulate actions to create a favorable environment for research in Europe on issues like regulations and standards.
- AENEAS relies on its several Working Groups to succeed in reaching its goals. Members and associates are free to attend every event organized by the working groups.
- AENEAS active members can assist in and take part in the General Assembly. Thus, they are allowed to vote, as well as to be candidates for the AENEAS board and for the working groups. Associated members can also attend such meetings.
- Active members of AENEAS will have the right to vote on elections and key decisions, to contribute to the evolution of the Strategic Research Agenda and to be provided with a broad network of possible R&D partners.
- Active members and associated memberswill be provided with all relevant information via specific communications, reports and newsletters.
- AENEAS will take advantage of the precious contribution of the Scientific Community Council, where research scientists and academia are represented. Its mission is to establish, strengthen and optimize interactions and co-operation between Europe’s scientific community and industry involved in Nanoelelectronics. The Scientific Community Council is considered as an essential stakeholder in pursuing ENIAC’s objectives and thus also a major building block for AENEAS.
