JOIN AENEAS

 

To become a Member or an associate, the procedure is as follows:

 

A.
1. Download and read the Articles of Association, the AENEAS Supplementary Agreement and
the Declaration of Accession (for applicants as active members only) ;
2. Fill in the online application form (sample attached) ;
3. After submitting the online application form, you will receive a pro-forma Application Form
by email.

 

B.
The pro-forma Application Form and the Declaration of Accession Form must be filled and returned BY MAIL with the requested data and duly signed to:

PART 1

The AENEAS Association has two types of members:

  • active members
  • associated members

 

ACTIVE MEMBERS: The association has three types of Active Members: "A", "B" and "C"

  • Active Members "A" of the association, also called "SME-Active Members", must maintain an enterprise of a micro, small or medium size as referred to in recommendation 2003/361/EC of the Commission of the European Communities. (http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/enterprise_policy/sme_definition/index_en.htm ) dated 06/05/2003, that performs, performed or has a demonstrable intention to start research and development activities in Member States of the European Union or third countries that are parties to the pan-European intergovernmental EUREKA initiative or third countries that are parties to an international agreement with the European Community and make a financial contribution to FP7 (see details in AENEAS Articles of Association, article 3.3)
  • Active Members "B" of the association, also called: "Research Organisation-Active Members", must be nationally recognized universities and/or research institutes with a non-profit objective that performs, performed or has a demonstrable intention to start performing research and development activities in Member States of the European Union or third countries that are parties to the pan-European intergovernmental EUREKA initiative or third countries that are parties to an international agreement with the European Community and make a financial contribution to FP7 (see details in AENEAS Articles of Association, article 3.4)
  • Active Members "C" of the association, hereinafter also called: "Corporate-Active Members" must maintain an enterprise not belonging to the enterprises as referred to in Active Members A, that performs, performed, or has a demonstrable intention to start performing research and development activities in Member States of the European Union or third countries that are parties to the pan-European intergovernmental EUREKA initiative or third countries that are parties to an international agreement with the European Community and make a financial contribution to FP7. (see details in AENEAS Articles of Association , article 3.5)

Associated Members must be natural persons or not-for-profit organisations active in the field of Nanoelectronics, but NOT carrying out R&D activities; e.g. EUREKA clusters, National Platforms, Pôles de Compétivité.
